
Gunnar Nylund
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997), was a Swedish-born Swedish ceramic designer. Nylund worked at Bing & Grøndahl Porcelainsfabrik in Copenhagen and was the artistic director of Rörstrand. In 1931 he introduced the logo of the studio “R” at Rörstrand. Nylund was famous for its coin-melted stone and for its chamotte animal statues. It was famous for its screams, such as “Oxblood” and the types of harpy glasses. Gunnar Nylund was also active in Strömbergshyttan between 1954-67.
