Gunnar Asplund

Gunnar Asplund (1885-1940), was one of the most important architects of his time in Sweden. Representing Scandinavian classics in the 1920s, Asplund was a pioneer of action, in which he participated and introduced at the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. His most important works are Stadsbibleteek Stockholm and Skogskyrkogården, designed by Sigurd Lewerentz.
